Student Research Grant
CCCTU will be awarding a $1,000 research grant to a student at an Upper Peninsula University or College whose research benefits understanding of cold-water fisheries or habitat. We plan to make this an annual award.
River Clean-up Events
CCCTU plans to organize river cleanup events. This will be a great opportunity for chapter members to volunteer. Look for announcements of these events on our website and Facebook page. If you know of a location that would benefit from a consolidated clean-up effort, please let us know!
Tree Planting
We have secured additional trees to plant along the Pilgrim River in areas where canary reed grass has become dominant. There will be volunteer opportunities to help with this and we will announce them on our Facebook page and website.
Youth Trout Camp
Every year, CCCTU sponsors one or two area youth to attend the Michigan TU trout camp held on the Au Sable River in Grayling. CCCTU will be looking to sponsor youth for this event when it is held next.
